Melbourne Museum explores life in Victoria, from our natural environment to our culture and history. Located on Wurundjeri Country in Carlton Gardens (Melbourne, Australia), opposite the World Heritage Listed Royal Exhibition Building, the award-winning Melbourne Museum houses a permanent collection in eight galleries, including one just for children.
Melbourne Museum also features the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre and is a space for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people to connect with Victoria’s Koorie (south eastern Aboriginal) people.
Melbourne Museum is also home to the world’s largest screen – IMAX Melbourne Museum. Melbourne Museum is open daily 9am – 5pm. Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.
